I keep thinking that I will have time every day to post something that blesses or is thought-provoking… hopefully inspirational. Time seems to escape me some days!
Yesterday my parents would have been married 68 years…! They loved each other purposefully… and with every ounce of their beings. Dad left too soon, at only 54 years of age. His death on Memorial Day weekend, 1972, came just 3 months after I was married and only 1 week before my cousin’s wedding. Mom never remarried. She said she would never again find anyone like my dad.
They were reunited on Christmas night of 1999… 27 years after Dad went to be with the Lord! I’m sure it was a WONDERFUL celebration for them!
I miss them both, especially on October 25th. My dad always said, “Better late than never!” So, Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad… a day late!
